Website and Branding

Working exclusively as an in-house Art Director for NiteRider Technical Lighting provided me with a diverse and dynamic portfolio, allowing me to express my creativity within the action sports industry. The company culture and the fast-paced environment were a perfect fit for my skill set and creative style.

However, in 2022, I felt a strong desire to create something of my own. My passion for helping others, combined with my fine motor skills and eye for aesthetics, led me to open a cosmetic hair tattoo business called Pigment2Scalp.

This new venture brought together my previous experience with a newly acquired skill: using a tattoo machine to apply thousands of microdots to the scalp, creating a grain-like effect that mimics the appearance of buzzed hair. My background in art, particularly drawing and illustration, became incredibly valuable once again, only now, instead of shading with charcoal or pencil, I use micro-needles, specialized pigment ink, and a tattoo machine. This stippling method is known as Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP).

My Art Direction background also played a key role in launching the brand. I developed the entire visual identity, including logo design, branding system, social media profile, and website, ensuring a professional and cohesive presence across all touchpoints.

Pigment2Scalp is a business I’m truly proud of. It represents a unique balance I’ve struck between visual design and hands-on cosmetic artistry, bringing together creativity, precision, and the satisfaction of helping clients feel more confident.
